In this world of festivities, there is literally a festival or celebration for every single thing that we do every single day. In this case, celebrations involving the reading world – books, reading, writing and any other activities related to it. You’ll be surprised, myself included, that there are so many days to commemorate reading related events in a year. Poetry on its own has almost half a dozen celebrations in a year, and there are book days, reading days, and many many others. Due to this overwhelming number of festivities, we’re breaking this into 2 parts, covering half of the year each.
Perhaps from now onwards, we can perhaps, take a short break from our reading schedules and just have fun, remembering the main events that were created to increase the awareness of the importance of literature, everyone and everything that make it works. Have a good time selecting what to celebrate in the days, weeks and months to come, and don’t forget to have a great time with your books.
