In this video, we’ll discuss on the basics of why books are banned in today’s society standards, who pushed for it, where did it start and how we can do to stop these unnecessary bans. Books are challenged and banned on a daily basis due to wide diversity of reasons from blasphemy, encouragement of ‘damaging lifestyles’, racial issues, violence, etc. In celebrating the Freedom to Read (Sept 24 – Sept 30), the Banned Books Week was established and celebrated every year. We’ll be covering this topic of banned books more intensively in the coming future, so stay tuned and leave any comments and share your thoughts on this matter.
